How empty legs work

01

A flight has to happen

An aircraft drops passengers off and must fly home, or must reach its next trip.

02

The seats are empty

The operator would rather sell that flight than fly it empty, so it is priced to move.

03

You fly for less

If the route and timing suit you, you fly the whole aircraft at a fraction of a normal charter.

FAQ

Empty leg questions

What is an empty leg flight?

An empty leg is a flight a private aircraft has to make without passengers, usually to return home or to reach its next trip. Because the operator would otherwise fly it with no revenue, these flights are usually sold below normal charter rates, though the route and time are fixed.

Can an empty leg be cancelled or changed?

Yes. If the original customer changes their plans, the empty leg can move or be withdrawn, sometimes at short notice. For time-critical trips we always recommend a backup plan, and we can quote a regular charter alongside.

How do I hear about empty legs first?

Set an alert above and we will email or text you when a flight matches. When the Ambition Card launches, members will see new empty legs before anyone else.
